Strawberry's Pub & Pizza (Woodbridge, NJ)

Gem & Margarita Pizza

The next place we are taking a look at is a smaller location in Woodbridge, NJ called Strawberry’s Pub and Pizza. This place is well known around town and is one of the most popular. This popularity draws in mass amounts of people which can have its drawbacks for such a small location. It isn't uncommon to head there on the weekends and find no parking and wait times of at least 50 mins. However, if u can manage to find parking and endure the wait you are in for some pretty delicious slices.

Pizza review

  • Gem Pizza:

Pros: Perfecty cooked shrimp, Good flavor, Juicy

Cons: Crsut a bit soggy

Price: $19.95

The Gem pizza is one of their specialty pies and consists of Grilled shrimp, tomatoes, garlic & basil. The Gem is one of my personal favorites from here, the shrimp is cooked perfectly, the tomatoes add delicious juiciness, and the garlic and basil add just the right amount of extra flavor. The one downside to this pie is that it can be difficult to eat. Because this pie is so juicy it tends to make the crust a bit soggy making it hard to pick up and not spill off all the toppings. Overall it is a very delicious pie and I would highly recommend giving it a try if you are a shrimp fan.

  • Margarita Pizza:

Pros: Fresh Flavor, Delicous sause

Cons: Nothing to special

Price: $18.95

The Margarita pizza from Strawberry’s was a good classic pie. The tomatoes and basil tasted very fresh and the tomato sauce that they use is absolutely delicious. The flavor can be described as very light and fresh. Although the pie was tasty it did leave a little to be desired. It was a good pie but it didn’t have that wow factor that I look for in a margarita pie. When you make a pizza as iconic as margarita everything has to be on point for it to stand out to others, and this one didn’t make the cut. Overall it was a good pie but if you’re looking for an amazing, “knock your socks off !”, margarita pie there are other places to visit.
