Tipsy Scoop

This is yet another bonus review which is neither a beer or a pizza but i found it unique and delicious enough to share on here. Tipsy Scoop is an ice cream place in NYC that serves alcohol-infused treats. Now the alcohol in this ice cream is strong, so strong in fact that you need to show ID to prove that you are of age to drink. This is a really unique place and I enjoyed my visit here. The actual location is small and it is best for taking your ice cream on the go. The few ice-cream flavors that I tried were delicious and I would 100% recommend this place to anyone that enjoys alcohol and ice cream.

Review

  • Red Velvet Martini:

The first flavor that we decide to try was the red velvet martini. This ice cream is infused with cake vodka, creme de cacao, and cherry liqueur. The flavors that they combine truly do taste like red velvet cake. The vodka taste is very promoted but isn’t too overpowering it has a good balance between the sweet creaminess of the ice cream and the strong bite of the vodka. Out of the two flavors, I tired this was my personal favorite.

  • Spiked Mint Chocolate Chip:

The second flavor we bought was the Spiked mint chocolate chip. This is mint chocolate ice cream infused with creme de menthe and chocolate liqueur. This was another good flavor however I am not the biggest fan of chocolate and mint so I may be a bit biased against it. Biased aside I can still appreciate this flavor. I think that the combo of flavors worked really well together. One thing I must say about this place is that their combinations of flavors are truly remarkable. They are very good at creating flavors that work well together and not making the alcohol flavor too overpowering where you can’t enjoy the other tastes.
