Jersey Shore's Authentic - 5th Annual Oktoberfest

Jersey Shore's Authentic - 5th Annual Oktoberfest is a festival that takes place at Asbury Festhalle & Biergarten. This place is a huge location with two floors. The bottom floor is filled with tables to order food along with a small bar. The upstairs is mainly a huge bar and drinking area. It’s an open balcony overlooking the water with lights and tons of fresh air. It’s a very nice location even if you aren’t going to the festival itself, I would recommend making a stop here for a drink.
Beer review
Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier:
Pros: Smooth, Delicious unique Flavor
Cons: None
Price: $8.00
The first of the two beers that I decided to try while here was a German import named the Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier (please do not ask me to pronounce these beers). This is a light amber colored wheat beer that has a very fruity flavor to it. The main flavors that are most apparent in this drink would be bubblegum and hints of pear and banana. The bubblegum flavor really gives the beer a unique sweet taste like nothing else. The fruit flavors of banana and pear match nicely with the bubblegum and make this a very sweet and flavorful beer.
Kostritzer:
Pros: Rich Flavor
Cons: Strong flavor may be overwhelming to some
Price: $8.00
The next drink that I tried there was another German-born beer called Kostritzer. This is a dark color lager that boasts flavors like coffee, roasted nuts, and dark chocolate. This beer has a deeper richer flavor than the previous one. I normally prefer lighter beers however this was a good exception. The flavor was bold and you definitely taste the rich flavor of coffee and chocolate with a nutty after taste which was unique in the best way possible.
