Johnny Mac’s is a bar located in Asbury Park NJ. At first glance, Johnny Mac’s seems like any other ordinary bar however, upon further investigation it’s very different. What makes this place so special is that they give out free pizza, how fitting. Every time you purchase a drink you receive a raffle ticket, when u get your ticket you can go to the back of the bar and hand it in to redeem your free personal plain pizza. It’s really an interesting and fun concept and always found it to be a great experience. If you happen to be in Brooklyn there is a place called Alligator Lounge that does the same thing and is actually where I first heard out this idea. It’s a really cool concept and definitely worth a stop.

This is a seasonal beer that features, you guessed it, pumpkin flavor. 'Tis the season to have everything pumpkin and that includes beer. This beer is wheat-based and has the pumpkin flavor accompanied by a slight spice which if I had to guess is probably either cinnamon or nutmeg, or a combo of both. Essentially a pumpkin spiced beer. Overall it was a good beer for the spooky season and had a crisp flavor, I definitely wouldn’t mind having it again before the seasons up.

When it comes to free items it's hard to complain about anything. This personal pie was not bad at all for what it is. The flavor was pretty good and it was a little overcooked but it was still fine. Overall I can not complain, it was a pretty good pizza to have after a drink. If you want a little more flavor you can get a topping on the pizza at extra cost.
